Isa Stein Christoph Fürst – Hotel am Domplatz eine permanente Lichtkunstinstallation
Meine Partnerin ISA STEIN und ich (ChristophFürst) haben letztes Jahr im Hotel am Domplatz eine permanente Lichtkunstinstallation ausgeführt. Wir denken diese Arbeit ist es wert auf diesen Weg auch anderen Personen zugänglich gemacht zu werden. Das Thema der Arbeit war „Integration“. Der Satz „Sprache ist das wichtigste Hilfsmittel der Integration“ wurde in 9 verschiedenen Sprachen in der internationalen Lautschrift als Leuchtkästen in die Textilbespannung der Geländer des Hotels am Domplatz eingearbeitet. Es ist somit keine Aufprojektion. Das Licht der Leuchtkästen leuchtet durch den Stoff. Nach einem Zufallsprinzip leuchten diese 9 verschiedenen Schriften unterschiedlich lange und an unterschiedlichen Orten auf. Laut Hotelführung animiert diese Installation die Besucher immer wieder zu verweilen und es wird immer wieder versucht den Inhalt des geschriebenen zu entschlüsseln.

Titia Ex Nomination for Dutch Artist of the Year 2011
Dear friends,
I am proud to tell you that I have been nominated for Dutch Artist of the Year 2011.
After the votes from more than 20,000 people, a panel of 100 art experts has chosen the 8 nominees.
These 8 nominees are:
Armando, Gerti Bierenbroodspot, Anton Corbijn, Sam Drukker, Marlene Dumas, Titia Ex, Marc Mulders, Erwin Olaf
Everyone now has a chance to vote for their favourite Dutch artist of the year from October 1st up to November 1st 2010 on the “Kunstweek” website (see link below).
The result will be announced on November 5th during the opening night of the Art Week in the Hermitage Museum, Amsterdam.
It has also been a very productive year with many light installations and much attention from the media. Germany’s international broadcaster, Deutsche Welle, produced a programme on European light artists and chose me to represent The Netherlands. A wonderful year so far, therefore, allowing me plenty of contact with the public and it’s not over yet.
